Christmas Hyrrs

‘Tis the season for holiday music! Partnering with Refuge, a national U.K. anti-violence charity supporting women and children in need, Grey London and Goldstein Music have released six festive feminist tunes and accompanying lyric videos. Aptly called “hyrrs” rather than “hymns,” the catchy songs include “Oh Sexism” to the tune of “Oh Christmas Tree!” as well as “ Kick the Balls,” featuring the melody of “Deck the Halls.” What’s more, each carol covers issues such as body shaming, workplace inequality, sexism, and harassment. A great way to get into the holiday spirit, these tongue-in-cheek “hyrrs” are available for purchase on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Spotify, and Apple Music, with all proceeds going directly to Refuge.

Coach x Snapchat

Coach is looking to appeal to Gen Zs this holiday season by partnering with Snapchat on a collection of limited-edition pins. Bridging the gap between material goods and social technology, the pins have embedded Snapcodes that, when scanned, allow users to gain access to an exclusive Snapchat arcade game based on Coach’s holiday video campaign. In line with the rest of Coach’s holiday collection, each pin features a shark, unicorn, or dinosaur inside the iconic Snapchat ghost outline and are currently available at 20 Coach locations nationwide.

Boonk Gang

Notorious social media prankster Boonk Gang has gone viral once again for his ridiculous antics. This time, the rapper/social media celebrity took to the Christmas section of Target (aka the Wondershop) to spread a little bit of holiday cheer and mayhem. In a video shared to Instagram and captioned “Issa Early Chrima !!” fans can see Boonk Gang throw $5000 in cash in the air for holiday shoppers to grab before jumping into (and knocking over) a Christmas tree display. Though we don’t condone his mischievous ways, we have to applaud him for knowing exactly what it takes to make a splash online.

Women To Look Up To

Women To Look Up To is here to help Christmas trees make a statement with their creative tree toppers featuring—you guessed it—female role models. In place of a traditional angel or star, the site offers tree toppers featuring the likenesses of Beyoncé, Hillary Clinton, and Serena Williams as well as the option to customize a tree topper with a woman of your choosing, be it a friend, boss, family member, etc. Plus, all the proceeds are donated to women-centric organizations, making these toppers the perfect way to celebrate powerful women and give back at the same time.
